Finding North: A Celebration of Black History
Friday February 21st at 7:00pm
Celebrate Black History Month at the CFA! This one-man play brings to life the powerful stories of the strivings, sacrifices and dreams of John P. Parker, a former enslaved man who dedicated his life to helping other enslaved people escape through the Underground Railroad. Written by David Gonzalez, performed by Daniel Carlton, this production is both an exploration and celebration of the continuing quest for justice and freedom in America. Please note – This performance includes discussion of sensitive themes including slavery and racism, as well as descriptions of violence.
